John Gollings is one of Australia’s most respected and revered photographers. He specializes in photography of the built environment, including the documentation of both ancient and modern cities around the world. His exhibition at & Gallery is John being the artist, as this body of work has evolved from his experiments with a 1970’s Russian designed 800 mm catadioptic mirror lens that has unique optical properties. It allowed him to manipulate the annular bokeh (the rings of light in some of the images) using focus or blurring the image with slow shutter speeds. Includes Q & A.5.00 – 7.00pm Talk 6.00 – 6.30
