The AIEFT is excited to be hosting the workshops ‘Emotion focused therapy in action’, run by Barry Strmelj. These workshops are suitable for practitioners with a background in EFT training (at least EFT Level 1) and who utilise, or are looking to incorporate EFT into their work with clients.
EFT in Action: Core Pain - How We Use Case Formulation Work to to Create a Focus and Guide Therapy
This workshop will cover how we use case formulation in EFT with our clients to build a step-by-step shared understanding of the client’s process to guide therapy. Successful therapies, in early sessions, developed an understanding of the client’s core pain and focused on that. This workshop will look at how and when process-based formulations are developed during sessions with clients and at ways and opportunities to formulate our clients to guide our interventions in the moment.
*Each workshop is designed to be attended independently; there are no requirement to attend all of them.
