Narrow Orchards Systems: Ian Goodwin, Alessio Scalisi (Agriculture Victoria) & Kevin Dodds (NSW DPIRD) will update on the new orchard systems being tested under Australian conditions, including the 12-month demonstration block at Tingira Orchard.PIPS 4 Profit: Nigel Swarts (Tasmanian Institute of Agriculture) & Michael Idowu (NSW DPIRD) will lead a discussion on research into effective, practical and profitable crop load management strategies, with a focus upon studies at Tingira Orchard.
PIPS 4 Profit: Jess Fearnley (NSW DPIRD/ UTAS) & Nigel Swarts will lead a discussion on research into benefits of building healthy apple soils- soil carbon & SWAN Systems irrigation & nutrient decision support platform.
Demonstrations of orchard tech used in both projects.
