Just Like Me: A workshop for girls with autism. (SOLD OUT)
About
This relaxed and engaging workshop will help girls to learn more about autism and their own unique profile.It is designed for ages 8-14 however all ages are welcome.
We focus on the female experience of autism which can be relevant to anyone who identifies with this.
Discussions and activities all focus on normalising diversity & understanding your wonderful self.
We will cover topics including:
- the basics of what autism is as we understand it today,
- how autism can look and feel different for everyone,
- identifying your own autistic differences, and
- exploring ideas for what can make life easier & fun!
Attendees will receive a handbook including the activities that we will work through and further helpful infograhics.
This workshop will be run by local Clinical Psychologist Dr Grace Hancock.
