About

As a facilitator you have a duty of care to develop and maintain a safe space for participants – However, in a group setting this can be challenging. Participants can be triggered by others’ story, some may flood or overwhelm, groups can rupture or the flow of the session gets disrupted.

This highly experiential program, which offers 12 PACFA CPD points, has been designed for mental health practitioners and those who run groups as part of their role. Over the 2-days you will build the knowledge and skills to be more confident in holding space, developing trust and cohesion, setting firm boundaries/ guidelines and responding to the emotional challenges of group work.

Through instructional sessions, you will learn how to:

 Understand Group Dynamics and stages
 Set boundaries and contracting
 Manage conflict
 Manage emotional triggers within the group
 Understand the roles within the group
 Develop Skills for Trauma informed facilitation
 Facilitate inner work
