2024 Hosworth Foundation FIDE Grand Prix
About
This is one of South Australia's premier events and often attracts players from across the country. It will be played over 3 days - Saturday 5th October - Monday 7th October and has 6 rounds - 10am and 2:30pm each day. It is FIDE and ACF rated. The time control is 90 minutes + 30 second increment each move. Players may request TWO half-point bye in rounds 1-5 but not the last round. Forfeit time is 30 minutes from the start of play. The Entry Fee is $100 for an adult, $80 Concession for Seniors, Students and Unemployed. Juniors are $70. Free entry for W/GM and W/IM participants.Players are expected to check-in to the first round at least 15 minutes before the start otherwise they will be excluded from the first round draw.
The Hosworth Grand Prix is run alongside the 2024 Hosworth Foundation FIDE High Flyers which is restricted to players rated Under 1600.
