Dorothy Campbell, always known as ‘Puss’, was one of nearly 3600 women to serve in the Australian Army Nursing Service in WW2.
Her wartime service took her to England, Egypt, Palestine, Papua New Guinea, Queensland and back home to Adelaide. It brings to light for the first time the sisters' lives away from the wards - their travels, friendships and romances.
The author Dr Janet Scarfe is a professional historian & 'Puss' Campbell's niece. Her research and publications include Australian Army nursing sisters of WW1 and WW2.
Her Excellency the Honourable Frances Adamson AC, Governor of South Australia, will be in attendance to officially launch the book.
The book sales on the day at the special launch price of $35. Payment facilities available.
