Evoking The Elements (earth/air/water/fire) is a synergy of piano music and paintings.The performers are international pianist Elyane Laussade and renowned artist Corinne Loxton who is based in the Blue Mountains.
Together these two artists explore interpretations and evocations of nature's elemental processes as reflected in the compositions of composers such as Debussy, Ravel, Liszt, Chopin and others.
The collaboration combines a piano recital with an installation and projection of paintings Corinne conceived while listening to the music Elyane will be performing.
Corinne Loxton will display 24-30 small paintings whilst Elyane plays. In addition there will be a projection of the paintings during her performance.
The audience will be able to have a closer view of the paintings after the concert and some will be for sale.
The concert will be a twilight at the Anglican Church Castlemaine on Friday October 18th at 5pm.
Ticket prices are $40 and $35 concession
