Working with Elders: Cultural Safety
Join us for this interactive workshop where we gain a greater insight as to why it is important to truly understand the needs of Aboriginal Elders.
Reflective conversations can help us better understand the various guidelines and principles central to providing inclusive service principles in relation to Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) service delivery.
During this workshop, we will explore what it is like for Aboriginal Elders accessing aged care services and how best to support them. We will use the Exploring Diversity & Wellness Toolkit to highlight the importance of providing safe and appropriate services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
Target Audience: Managers, Team Leaders and Coordinators of all CHSP Service Programs.
