Are our youngest Australians getting the foods they deserve?
About
This webinar explores the findings, implications and opportunities for new baby and infant foods in Australia after the release of a major study that found that "urgent work is needed to improve the nutritional quality of commercially produced infant and toddler foods in Australia.” You will hear directly from one of the co-authors of the paper (Dr. Daisy Coyle, George Institute/UNSW) and a panel of food scientists, health and nutrition researchers and food engineers as they discuss the opportunities for new product development that is responsive to the study's findings. Additionally, the webinar will discuss leveraging the advanced processing at SIFT (HPP and SHAKA Retort) to produce food with the nutritional and quality standards that our youngest Australians deserve. Panelists include Prof Rhonda Marriott, Dr Wendy Hunt, Dr Suwimol Chockchaisawasdee and Mr Stuart Johnson (moderator).Location
