Take in the sights and sounds of Stonnington's diverse birdlife on the free guided tour of the Glen Iris Wetlands to celebrate National Bird Week 2024!

Join us for a delicious pre-tour breakfast to start the day, followed by a bird tour led by local bird enthusiast Professor Christian Doerig. On the tour you'll learn about the wonderful assortment of bird species that frequent the wetands and how to identify them. 

We'll also show you how to submit your bird sightings on the day to take part in the 2024 Aussie Bird Count, Australia's largest citizen science project. 

About Christian: Although Christian has made his career as professor in infectious disease science (RMIT University), he has been an avid birdwatcher since his teenage years in Switzerland and spends most of his free time birding wherever his travels around world take him, or guiding for Firetail Birding Tours.
