Our colleagues in the environmental sector are invited to attend an important myrtle rust workshop.1.5-hour Myrtle Rust field training and 1-hour workshop and discussion presented by Dr Kylie Ireland, Plant Diseases Program Leader, Ecosystem Health Branch, DBCA Kensington.
You can attend either in person for the whole event or via teams for the afternoon discussion.
Itinerary:
10:30am to 12:00pm- Blow Holes Car Park, Blowholes Rd, Torndirrup National Park - gain practical experience in how to search for myrtle rust.
12:00pm to 1:30pm- Break for Lunch
Join the Dieback Working Group and Binalup Rangers team for a chance to chat environmental biosecurity during a catered networking lunch at the DPIRD Albany office, 444 Albany Highway, Albany.
1:30pm to 2:30pm- regroup at the DPIRD conference room.
Please prepare for all weather conditions.

Brief Background on Myrtle Rust
Since myrtle rust arrived in Australia in 2010, within NSW, myrtle rust has spread from Australia across the ocean into New Zealand and into every state and territory (other than South Australia).
