The first part of the program features a solo performance by Mohsen Namjoo, with videos playing in the background accompanying the performance. The concept is a 50 minutes audiovisual journey through a small segment of contemporary Iranian history. Essentially, Namjoo invites us to revisit our auditory and visual memories and recall the sounds that permeated our lives in the first decade after the 1979 revolution. Clearly, the intention of this invitation is for the audience to realize that the beauty and ugliness of the world transcend political choices and beliefs.The "Minooor " project is an invitation to the melancholy of the Iranian childhood through the 1980’s.
