The Hobart Bookshop is proud to host the launch by Microscope and Tardigrade enthusiast Courtney Hunt of 'Tardigrades' by Tasmanian author Anne Morgan with CSIRO Publishing. Join us to hear Daniela Brozek from Bright South in conversation with Anne and Courtney. As a former teacher, Anne Morgan creates children's picture books that both enchant and inform. Her last picture book The Way of the Weedy Seadragon was a CBCA Notable Book and shortlisted in the Wilderness Society's Environment Award for Children's Literature.In her new work Anne explores the Tardigrades, one of the toughest creatures in nature! These tiny little animals, nicknamed 'moss piglets' or 'water bears', and they have incredible survival superpowers.
They've been found in astonishing places, from the top of a mountain to the bottom of an ocean. They've even survived a trip into space!
