Presented by Lost Newcastle and produced by Stories of Our Town, they are proud to announce their 20th and longest film release - Shipwrecked Newcastle.Newcastle Harbour used to be the 5th biggest harbour in the world, it was also one of the most dangerous and once you add the regular visits by east coast lows you come to understand why there are hundreds of shipwrecks in and around Newcastle Harbour. Most of these wrecks has fascinating stories and that’s why this story is being told in film for the first time. Dozens of historians, professional divers, journalists, and one Maritime Archaeologist have gathered to be part of this film. This film also takes us underwater to see the wrecks up close thanks to assistance of many local professional and amateur divers. This is a must see! Free entry.
