Ticket price is for 2 full day sessions (Friday 17th January 2025 and Saturday 18th January 2025)
Recordings of the sessions will be available for 30 days from the end of each session to ticket holders only.
This course is suitable for all Allied Health - Speech Pathology and Occupational Therapy graduates or students; Dieticians; Psychologists: AHA.
DAY 1: Assessment
What you will learn:
A structure for assessing eating and feeding difficulties in children
The importance of Breathing on eating
Basic oral-motor markers for eating difficulties
The importance of Positioning on eating
The impact of Routine in eating and feeding difficulties
DAY 2: Intervention
What you will learn:
A structure for intervention of eating and feeding difficulties in children
Oral motor strategies and intervention techniques
The use of oral motor tools and food in therapy
Cups, bottles, spoons, forks, bowls and more
Problem solve Positioning for eating
Managing screentime and other distractions
Importance of family meals
Use of routine in the treatment of eating and feeding difficulties
The use of exposure in intervention
Afternoon session will be a chance to discuss your case studies and get real time help.
