ZYDECO JUMP are back for another very special show at MEMO Music Hall returning to their spiritual home, St Kilda where in 1989 Zydeco Jump first hit the Melbourne music scene at the Esplanade Hotel on a Sunday afternoon and played there every Sunday afternoon for the next 9 years. These performances are now the stuff of legend. It was a full house every week and the dance floor was jumping.Sunday 09 February 2025 will see Zydeco Jump back in St Kilda at MEMO Music Hall. Zydeco Jump are very excited to announce that they will be joined by extraordinary multi-instrumentalist and singer, Gerry Hale. Gerry will join the band for the first time in over 30 years!
The line-up will be – George Butrumlis-accordion and vocals, Paul Neuendorf – guitar and vocals, Gary Samolin – drums, Ben Taylor – frottoir (washboard), Mark Ferrie – bass, vocals, “Toots” Wostry – alto sax and vocals, Paul Williamson – tenor and baritone saxes and of course Gerry Hale – fiddle, mandola and vocals.
