First Reconciliation & First Holy Communion Registration Portal — 2025

INFORMATION EVENING

The parish will be running an information evening on Thursday, 27 February 2025 from 6pm-7pm via Zoom. We strongly urge all parents to attend this session. Zoom details were included in the letter sent to schools. For those who do not have the Zoom details please contact the Sacramental Coordinator: sc@rgcp.org.au.

YEAR 3 – FIRST RECONCILIATION & FIRST HOLY COMMUNION

First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion form a joint programme, so there is no need to complete a separate booking for each of the sacraments. Registration for the First Holy Communion Mass will automatically mean your child is enrolled in the First Reconciliation course as well.

The cost of the First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion programme is $150 which you will pay upon finalising the online registration.

FIRST RECONCILIATION

For candidates in state/private schools, First Reconciliation will be held on Tuesday, 13 May 2025, 5pm at St Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, Ryde.

For candidates in St Charles Catholic Primary School (SCB), First Reconciliation will be held at St Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, Ryde at the following dates and times:

• (3C) Thursday, 15 May 2025, 5pm
• (3S) Tuesday, 20 May 2025, 5pm
• (3B) Wednesday, 21 May 2025, 5pm

For candidates in Our Lady Queen of Peace Primary School (OLQP), First Reconciliation will be held on Thursday, 15 May 2025, 6:30pm at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Gladesville.

FIRST HOLY COMMUNION

To register for a First Holy Communion Mass, please select your preferred Mass then click 'Book Now' and fill-in the required details. There are five available dates and times:

• Sunday, 9 November 2025, 12pm (RYDE)
• Sunday, 9 November 2025, 3pm (GLADESVILLE)
• Saturday, 15 November 2025, 12pm (RYDE)
• Saturday, 15 November 2025, 3pm (RYDE)
• Sunday, 16 November 2025, 12pm (RYDE)

The selection you make will be the date your child receives their First Holy Communion. 

This booking portal will open on Thursday, 27 February at 8pm, and will close on Thursday, 27 March at 11:59pm. Please ensure that you book within this timeframe.

Please note, that in order for your child to receive the sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion, your child must already be baptised. After registering for the First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion program, we will send you a link to upload a copy of your child’s Baptism certificate.

PREPARATION SESSIONS

There are three preparation sessions for each of the two sacraments, which are compulsory. For First Reconciliation, Session 1 is online while Sessions 2 and 3 are in-person. For First Holy Communion, Sessions 1 and 2 are in-person, while Session 3 is online.

The dates and times of the preparation sessions for First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion are as follows.
