Join us for the opportunity to learn a bachata choreography from the Movimiento archive with Bernadette Ashley.
Bernadette has been teaching dance for twenty years and has experience across many Latin cultural styles including casino, rueda, son, bachata, and more. She initially worked for La Fiesta Salsa in Townsville, then opened her own studio Movimiento in 2011. In 2019 she moved with her husband Sean to Panamá and handed the baton to Cara Johns, who created Global Dance Collective.
In Panama Bernadette developed Salsa Cubana para Todxs, focussed on ungendered lead and follow, to promote inclusiveness. She now teaches privately, specialising in lead and follow connection.
The workshop is for intermediate level bachaterxs.
