About

A one-day course on synthetic diamonds and diamond simulants given by Bill Sechos including both theory and practical components using all the tools you need to determine the type of diamond or simulant you examine and if it needs a more complete diagnosis by advanced techniques.

This is a hands-on workshop with the emphasis on handling stones and using normal laboratory techniques to begin with and then progressing to more advanced techniques and finally seeing what is done in a commercially operating diamond testing laboratory to get the final answer. (CLASS SIZE: MAXIMUM 10 STUDENTS)

4 CPD Update Points for NCJV members are allocated to this course.

All you need to bring is your loupe and tweezers - all other equipment needed will be provided.

Pre-requisite: Prior gemmological studies is required

Course notes will be provided for the course to give you a theoretical reference for later use.
