Dads and Mums Army XXVIII Bronze Medallion Course 2025
About
This Bronze Medallion course is for parents of our Minnows to help with Water Safety at Coogee Minnows and patrol at Coogee Beach.This course provides participants with the skills and knowledge of basic patrolling & surf awareness to participate in lifesaving operations. This is the core award to be a surf lifesaver. You will learn surf skills, resuscitation techniques, basic first aid, rescue techniques & more.
Enrolments close 6pm Friday 31 January 2025.
Course schedule:
• First Aid: 12 & 13 February 2025
• First Night: Wednesday 29 January, 7-9.30pm
• Qualifying Swim: 2 February 2025
• Classroom: Mondays 7-9.30 pm, 3 February to 10 March 2025
• Beach: Sundays 11am - 1.45pm, 2 February to 15 March 2025
• Assessment Part A: 12 March 2025
• Assessment Part B: 15 March 2025
• Graduation: 15 March 2025
To qualify for the Course you need to:
• Be aged 15 years old or over
• 400m swim in the Ocean in 9 minutes or under
