Preston Symphony Orchestra - 2025 Youth Concerto Competition
About
The annual Preston Symphony Orchestra Youth Concerto Competition began in 1988 and has been a significant event for over 150 talented young musicians, many of whom have gone onto illustrious careers in music. Auditions in April and May result in the selection of 6 finalists, each of whom plays the movement of a concerto in the competition concert. The winner is chosen by an adjudicator of note. Details of the 2025 finalists and their works will be announced in June 2025. The concert will be conducted by Carlos del Cueto.Online ticket sales cut off is 11.30am on the day of the concert, but tickets can also be purchased at the concert box office from around 2pm if any remain available.
