Hush Quiet Day - Triangle of Rhetoric: Ethos, Pathos & Logos
About
Facilitator: Kevin BroughtonFrom the storytelling of First Nations Elders to the hymns and poetry of the Celtic tradition, from the parables of Jesus to the wisdom woven through many faith paths - human beings have always sought to share truth in ways that connect heart, mind, and spirit.
This reflective day offers a spacious invitation to explore three enduring lenses of communication: ethos (trust and integrity), pathos (empathy and shared feeling), and logos (reason and clarity). We will draw on scripture, story, and spiritual traditions both ancient and modern, discovering how these lenses can help us listen deeply, speak wisely, and belong more fully - to God, to one another, and to the land on which we live.
I draw insight from the Christian Gospel, First Nations spirituality, and the Celtic stream, creating a safe space where diverse traditions are honoured. My hope is to guide you in exploring not only how we speak, but also how we live and listen.
