About
The Hospital MIMMS course teaches a systematic approach to medical management of mass casualty incidents from a hospital perspective. The emphasis is on planning for a major incident in a hospital using a structured approach to the reception, definitive care, and recovery phases of the response. The course is competency-based, and participants are tested in the practical application of the skills taught and practiced. This course teaches participants to both manage and deliver effective care to patients in hospital during a mass casualty incident. Course material includes reception, definitive care and recovery phases; communication; triage; specialist services regional response; public health incidents; protracted large geographical incidents; chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear incidents.- Gold Coast University Hospital - 24th & 25th March 2025

Please note: Start and finish times may be subject to change. Participants will receive the course program, electronic access to the Major Incident Medical Management and Support: The Practical Approach in the Hospital book, and access to the Advanced Life Support Group (ALSG) online learning platform to complete the pre-course assessments.
