This program is for Registered Nurses, Enrolled Nurses and Midwives who have a clinical need to perform intravenous (IV) cannulation in clinical practice. To complete the program it is essential that you have the opportunity to perform five supervised cannulations in your workplace.This two-hour session focuses on the practical skill of IV cannulation. Before attending, you are required to complete the online module, accessed via the Grampians eLearning Hub. For staff who do not have access to the Grampians Learning Hub, a PDF version of the module will be emailed to you.
To achieving competency, you will be required to perform 5 supervised cannulations in your workplace. These must be completed within 6 mths of attending the workshop.
