This suicide prevention training equips adults with the knowledge, skills and confidence to recognise, understand and respond to a friend, family member, co-worker or other person experiencing suicidal thoughts and behaviours, and how to encourage the person to seek professional help.
In this 4.5 hour internationally recognised and accredited course, using a practical, evidence- based action plan, course participants learn how to approach a young person they are concerned about and initiate a conversation about these concerns.
This course is recognised by Suicide Prevention Australia as a safe, high-quality, and effective suicide prevention program.
This initiative is partially funded by the Wolper Jewish Hospital Health Foundation and the JCA Haberman, Kulawicz & Wolanski Fund
