Beginners A1.1 On-site - Wednesdays - Term 1, 2025 (SOLD OUT) |
Teacher: Rowena Bata Wednesday evenings 6.45-8.45pm.
Classes will be held at Clonard College during terms 1, 2 and 4 and on Zoom in term 3. The course will run all year and then lead into the next level in 2026. While there is no obligation to commit to more than one term at a time, we encourage students to see this as a year-long course.
The main focus of the term one course will be the first lessons of the textbook ‘Inspire 1’:
Leçon 1: greetings, saying good-bye, introducing yourself, classroom objects
Leçon 2: instructions in the classroom, asking questions in class, days of the week, numbers, alphabet
Leçon 3: France and the French-speaking world
Leçon 4: nationalities, introduction to some French grammar rules
Leçon 5: talking about yourself with others
Leçon 6: some French verbs, months and seasons
The course covers the four skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing.
Audio files and videos for the course are available online for consolidation at home.
