Theatre play Tõll - Teatrietendus Tõll
About
Tõll is a strongman – one of many. Every nation has someone who carries massive stones, sleeps a gigantic hole in the ground and, in case of war, beats up enemies. This proves once again that people want to believe in something unreal and wonderful, they like to think that behind the visible world there is another: the mysterious. In the past, this world was embodied by fairies and gods, dwarves and mermaids, today all sorts of comic book heroes, starting with Superman. If no one else can help, they will.In the play “Tõll”, we do not see Tõll himself. But we see how Tõll is born. How fairy tales and legends are born in general. How dreams are created that add hope and color to one’s life.
