The Bellingen Theatre Troupe, a local amateur company, is pleased to present the comedic play: 'The 39 Steps'!This smash-hit comedy-thriller takes Alfred Hitchcock’s classic 1935 spy film and turns it into a madcap, fast-paced adventure with just four actors playing over 50 characters—sometimes all at once!
When the dashing Richard Hannay is wrongly accused of murder, he finds himself on the run, dodging secret agents, charming femme fatales, and navigating perilous Scottish moors—all while unravelling the mystery of The 39 Steps. Expect quick-changes at lightning speed, inventive stagecraft, and a whirlwind of hilarity as our fearless cast brings this espionage caper to life with boundless energy and clever theatrical magic.
With equal parts Hitchcock, Monty Python, and classic whodunit fun, The 39 Steps is a laugh-a-minute theatrical delight that will keep you guessing—and giggling—until the final twist!
