Anxiety in Preschoolers RECORDING
About
Many childhood fears and worries are a normal part of development and most children will grow out of them. However research shows that about 10% of children will go on to develop a more significant anxiety disorder which may lead to them missing out on important experiences such as making friends, learning new tasks and trying new activities. In this talk we help parents to recognize signs of anxiety, understand what may be going on for their child, and get ideas and strategies for parenting a child with anxiety.
In this 1 ½ hour session, we will cover:
What does anxiety look like in young children?
Causes of anxiety in children
The 3 keys to reducing anxiety in young children
Do’s & Don’t for parenting an anxious child
Strategies for building brave behaviours
Who we can turn to for help
