From its first subdivision in 1882, Puckle Street in Moonee Ponds, formerly part of the Whitaker Estate on its north side, and declared a public highway on May 27, 1887, to the closure of the Moonee Ponds Market in 1997, Moonee Ponds has become one of the most dynamically changing streetscapes in Australia while still retaining enough of its original charm and heritage to remain identifiable the whole way through. Content will include the evolution of architecture, design, buildings and the occasional true crime story.On Saturday, October 24 join the selling true crime author and historian, Roy Maloy on a guided walking tour, moving through the landscape of some of the area’s most iconic landmarks, feature features and narratives. Places are extremely limited.
