2025 Transition Bondi - Mend & Remake (SOLD OUT)
About
Make Your Wardrobe Sustainable, One Stitch at a TimeSince March 2023, Transition Bondi has been hosting monthly Mend and Remake workshops—a community-driven space where sustainable fashion meets systemic change. Proudly funded by Waverley Council as a community project from 2026.
Join us monthly at Waverley Public Library for hands-on sessions where sewers of all levels are welcome. Whether you're new to mending or an experienced upcycler, our supportive community is here to help you repair, reimagine, and give new life to your clothing. We provide all the equipment; you bring the garments that deserve a second life.
Lise, a 5-year member of Transition Bondi, will be facilitating the workshop. She brings qualifications in fashion (TAFE), a Bachelor of Arts, and a Diploma in Sustainability. Her practice weaves together craft, creativity, and a steadfast commitment to social justice, waste reduction, and equality.
What to expect:
- Supportive, skills-based learning in clothing repair and creative upcycling
- A welcoming community passionate about reducing fashion waste
- Intimate sessions limited to 15 participants for personalized guidance
