Come start the year with a stunning concert of music by two of Melbourne's best string players.Anne-Marie Johnson is currently an associate concertmaster of the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra and she joins forces in this concert with William Vyvyan Murray to present new and old music for Violin and Viola.
The program opens with Ruby Hunters 'Welcome to all people', then moves to W. A. Mozart's stunning duo written for his dear friend Michael Haydn and Kaaija Saariaho's eerie Aure written for her dear friend Henri Dutilleux's 95th birthday.
Erzsébet Szőnyi is one of the most amazing composers you have never heard of, and Bela Bartok one of the most amazing that you have and their duos are incredible fun.
