Our first PD events of 2025 — 2 different enriching sessions, choose either or register for both. All educators, secondary & university students & performers welcome.Session 1: BAROQUE WORKSHOP
1:30 - 2:30pm Sun 23 Feb
Led by Lucy Macourt & Agnes Weinstein, featuring performances and an in-depth analysis of Baroque violin techniques.
Session 2: STRING ENSEMBLE REPERTOIRE PLAY-ALONG
3-5pm Sun 23 Feb
Join our beloved energetic play-along of new string ensemble repertoire. Australian works tailored for multi-skilled groups and all ages. Tools and strategies for curating engaging and culturally responsive repertoire that will interest your students.
String Players:
Bring your instrument to participate in the ensemble repertoire play-through.
Ensemble Directors and Conductors:
Observe the ensemble, ask questions, take notes and connect with fellow ensemble directors.
Afterwards - come to The Astor Hotel, first drink is on us!
