Opening Day Celebrations for the Year of the Snake

About
Shed old skins and embrace transformation to start the Year of Snake 🐍
Celebrate the Lunar New Year with 4A on Friday, 24 January, 6–8pm, as 4A marks the Year of Snake with two exhibitions.
Antivenom: Year of the Snake
Guided by the Snake’s wisdom and intuition, Antivenom: Year of the Snake showcases Asian-Australian, Australian, and Indigenous artists transforming harm into healing. Bold works on identity, gender, and the migrant experience embody resilience and renewal. Opening night features Red Rey, activating Owen Leong’s artwork with a powerful performance and a DJ set infused with Filipinx and queer club culture.
ANTIVENOM: VERMIN @ 4A LAB
Featuring artist Lia Tabrah, VERMIN reimagines the invasive cane toad as sustainable luxury fashion, spotlighting Indigenous-led efforts in the Torres Strait Islands to restore balance to native ecosystems.
