World Poetry Day 2025 & Local Word Poetry Prize Announcement
For World Poetry Day 2025, join us for an exploration of the future of poetry in a panel discussion led by Professor David McCooey, Personal Chair, Writing & Literature, School of Communication & Creative Arts at Deakin University. Joining David on the panel will be local poets Alex Creece, Joshua Maxwell de Hoog, Heather Cameron and Cameron Lowe.
The evening will also include the announcement of the short list and overall winner of the second Local Word Poetry Prize, with a first prize of $2,000.
