OUTLINE:
Wild Quest is a transformational four-day program centred around a 24 hour wilderness quest.
It's designed for those navigating change, a new stage or cycle in their lives - offering the time and space to slow down, reconnect and listen deeply.
Over four days, we explore our connection to self and nature - through ceremony and ritual, somatic awareness and deep nature connection.
This is an opportunity to spend 24 hours in solitude, in communion with nature and your wild soul – knowing you are held in a safe container.
In a wilderness quest, we are consciously choosing an initiation. As Bill Plotkin shares:
'When we decide to step into a rite of passage such as a wilderness quest, we're being called to take a look at ourselves and re-enliven what it means to be human'
It’s almost like were being summoned by the Earth herself - to reclaim and embody our true nature, our indigenous nature.
The Indigenous peoples in the Daly River Region, Northern Territory, have a word that describes the art of deep listening – Dadarri.
To listen deeply is our birth rite as humans. It’s what connects us to our self, our community and the land in which we live.
When we pay attention, the birds and animals, forests and mountains, creeks and rivers, each offer their medicine.
Every part of nature provides a mirror into our own inner landscapes (or our wild souls)!
Day 1:
We meet on Thursday afternoon, providing the time to arrive, drop in, set up camp and meet the other participants.
After dinner, a ceremony is held to open our space, acknowledge country and share our intentions for the journey ahead.
Day 2:
Our second day is focused on preparing for your wilderness quest - on a physical, mental, emotional and spiritual level.
We explore how to connect with the natural world, to open and receive its medicine, and how to connect with your soul and draw on your innate wisdom.
You’ll be guided through a process of finding your quest site and creating a safe container to journey through your rite of passage.
Day 3:
Our third day is dedicated to the quest itself. A fire at dawn marks the start of your journey, before you make your way out to your quest site.
For 24 hours, your time is spent in solitude, in communion with nature - creating the space for what needs to emerge, shift or change.
Day 4:
Our final day marks your return and is dedicated to integration - giving you the time and space to reflect and journal your experiences.
We come together in ceremony, to share stories and offer gratitude to the land, the people and the spirits that held us.

I’d like to acknowledge the traditional custodians of this land in which I live and work, the Gumbaynggirr people.
I offer my deep gratitude for the stories, wisdom and knowledge that’s been so generously shared by our Indigenous community.
May we acknowledge the past and continue to find ways to heal, grow and create a sense of unity as we move forwards.
