Elena will discuss and demonstrate her unique ways of working with clay, using quick spontaneous gestural movements and meditative carving and hollowing. She will work with participants to make various forms such as tea bowls, bottles, closed box forms and more. She will discuss ideas for finishing and glazing the pieces.
This will be a hand building workshop suitable for all levels, from beginners to advanced, everyone will create their own individual pieces.
Elena has worked and exhibited in India, Japan, USA, Germany and NZ.
Elena will be exhibiting at the Pottery Expo as a member of the International Academy of Ceramics.
