CINDERELLA.
Written and Directed by NATALIE TRENGOVE, original songs by JIM FURY
life has been hard for Cinderella since her father, the Baron John Fitzwilliam was lost at sea . With very little money coming into the house they could no longer pay the wages of the servants. Soon poor Cinderella was doing the cooking, cleaning, and washing as well as waiting on her two spoilt, lazy, and mean stepsisters Harriet and Hortence, from morning to night.
Thank goodness for Buttons the footman, who helps her any way he can and tells her that things will get better when her father the Baron returns home.
When she is told that she will not be going to the Grand Ball to welcome home Prince Alexander, she is reduced to tears, but a kind old lady saves the day when she tells her that she is her Fairy Godmother,
With a few waves of her wand, she soon has Cinderella riding off in a Golden Coach to the ball, but warning her to be home by midnight as that is when the magic will wear off and everything will disappear.
Too soon the clock is striking midnight and she runs from the Prince and the Palace.
Prince Alexander vows to search every home to find the Princess who has stolen his heart,
Will there be a happy ending? Will he find Cinderella and will the Baron come home? And will everyone live happy ever after, like all good fairy tales?
I have a feeling they will.
