SALVATION ARMY WILLS DAYS
Welcome to the Community Wills Day at The Salvation Army Chatswood Corps. This day is made possible thanks to the generous support of solicitors who donate their time to help community members have a professionally prepared simple Will.
The cost is $150 per person or $250 for a couple (husband/wife/defacto), plus a 50-cent online booking fee.
Your solicitor will review your completed form and may request further details if needed. While we aim to engage local solicitors, this isn’t always possible, and support may come from solicitors in nearby areas and city. We appreciate your understanding.
A few weeks after your appointment, the solicitor will contact you to arrange signing the final Will at their office.
We’d also love to speak with you about how a gift in your Will to The Salvation Army can make a lasting difference.
HAVE YOUR WILL WRITTEN IN 3 EASY STEPS:
1. Book and pay for an appointment below ($150 per person or $250 per couple + $0.50 booking fee)
2. Complete the Client Information Form
3. Bring your completed Client Information Form and booking confirmation to your selected appointment
Please Note: Wills Day appointments are for simple Wills only.
A simple Will typically includes straightforward instructions such as:
-
Nominating one or two executors
-
Leaving your estate to a few direct beneficiaries (e.g. spouse, children, or a charity)
-
Including basic gifts/ assets (e.g. a specific amount of money or item)
If your situation is more complex—such as owning a business or overseas assets, establishing a testamentary trust, providing for dependents with special needs, or managing blended family arrangements—please contact us before booking, and we can refer you to a solicitor for more comprehensive advice if needed.
If you're planning to include a gift in your Will to The Salvation Army, we’d be honoured to support you. Please get in touch if you are comfortable to let us know, so we can guide you to the most suitable option—whether that’s through our Wills Day service or with one of our trusted solicitors.

DESCRIPTION
STATUS
Having a Will is very important. It ensures the people who matter most in your life are taken care of. Without a Will, your estate is distributed according to a legal formula. This might mean your assets don’t end up being distributed according to your wishes.
That’s why The Salvation Army’s Wills Days are so important.
