Simone Waddell and Pat Powell are delighted to be performing at Centro CBD
where you can relax and dine at the comfort of your own table. You can expect a
stunning mix of Soul and R&B, including some duets, as well as songs you know and
love. Sounds reminiscent of Roberta Flack and Donny Hathaway, plus some original
music, with melodies that grab your heart.
An intimate show with exceptional musicality is on offer whenever these two
accomplished vocalists perform.
Simone’s recent original music has been hailed as, “the best music coming out of
Australia right now.” Her recent fifth studio album, “The Art of Collaboration” was the
number #1 Highest Selling Australian Jazz Album of 2022 and was accepted into
four separate categories in the 2023 Grammys.

Simone’s voice has been described as “world class”, “drenched with soul and
feeling” and “utterly amazing.”
Simone was mentored by the late iconic jazz singer, Kerrie Biddell, and completed
her Research Masters Degree in Performance at the Sydney Conservatorium of
Music on scholarship.
Pat Powell has a career that spans over four decades and right across the globe, Pat is one
of Australia’s most accomplished vocal talents. He is the artist that everyone wants to work
with, to name a few there’s Margaret Urlich, Jenny Morris, Paul Mac, James Freud &
Michael Hutchence’s Max Q.
Pat toured extensively throughout Europe before descending on Sydney with great force in
1981. Within a couple of years, he was one of Australia’s most in demand studio vocalists.
Pat has supported James Brown, Queen, The Eurythmics, Boy George, Crowded House, Split
Enz, Horace Andy and Luciano, Tina Arena, Technotronic, George Benson and more. In the
late eighties & nineties he toured Australia, Asia & Europe as Kylie Minogue’s primary
backing vocalist and since then in more recent years he’s toured extensively throughout
Australia, Canada, America, Turkey and the UK. Pat has recorded over 18 singles, featured
on over seven albums, and Pat Powell singing for The Melbourne Ska Orchestra has
been nominated for 5 Aria’s and taken 2 of them home, plus 4 nominations for The
Victorian Age Music Awards and won 3.
A highlight of this show is Sam McNally featured on piano and keyboards. One of the
most exceptional keyboardists in the country today.
Simone and Pat have both performed internationally across their incredibly exciting
and expansive careers, and cannot wait to share their songs and stories with you.
Accompanied by seasoned professionals Mitch Farmer on drums and Ralph
Marshall on bass – top notch musicians, and artists in their own right.

Pat has toured the world as a backing vocalist for Kylie Minogue and warmed up for
