About
Join SAAL and the Mulloon Institute for a 1 day introduction to understand landscape rehydration principles to improve station productivity and drought resilience. The workshops will be run by Lance Mudgway from the Mulloon Institute. Lance has a passion for working in arid rangelands and mentoring land managers to restore and rehabilitate natural water flows.Participants will learn how to read and interpret pastoral landscapes; the fundamentals of water moving across country, how to assess the function of a landscape and explore Landscape Rehydration options.
They will explore a range of strategies, including natural structures, that can optimise a property’s water cycle and improve landscape function. Attendees can discover ways to practically apply concepts when operating machinery, planning fence lines, track improvements and managing livestock. Participants will be equipped with a foundational understanding of a property’s water cycle and landscape rehydration approaches.
