WEEK 1
TUESDAY 15TH APRIL:
Zen Gardens
This is a chance for the creative and nurturing side of your child to shine! These Zen Gardens will prove to be a real blast!
Anxiety - Let's introduce tapping
Find lasting relief from anxiety with this step-by-step workshop, featuring practical EFT tapping techniques to manage stress and build emotional resilience. This is a very practical workshop for the children to learn to be the master of their anxiety and not their anxiety being their master!
Woodcraft
A beautiful wood workshop where the children make some fabulous bring home treasures with their choice from many shapes and designs-your child will have fun creating with wood!
WEDNESDAY 16TH APRIL:
Has your child ever wanted to be on stage? This offering is tailored to complement Newcastle Fringe experimental art. With a focus on collaboration and group activities, your child's inner light is sure to shine. Lots of costumes and props!!!
Problem Solving
Problem solving is one of the key strategies that children need to learn to become independent thinkers. Counsellor Nicole Neave gives the children strategies to solve problems-kids see problems as impenetrable big chores that are to be feared. In this workshop we break down a problem into manageable bite-sized pieces that can be easily handled, giving the kids the feeling of triumph!
Canvas Creations
Art with canvases-kids can choose between painting/drawing and decoupage styled art projects!
THURSDAY 17TH APRIL:
Study Bears
These little buddies are a clinically proven helper in memory and clear thinking!! The kiddos will be making their own study bears with their own unique personal signature qualities. These guys are small enough to put under your pillow for a good night sleep as well as enhance your memory when exams are pending!
Friendships
Making the right choices regarding friends can make or break your child’s social and school life! This is an interactive wonderful workshop for any child. Facilitated by Counsellor Nicole Neave.
Art Vault Open
The Art Vault will open and the children will have a wide choice of art mediums to choose from for a fun filled afternoon full of art, creativity and games with our creative team!
WEEK 2:
TUESDAY 22ND APRIL:
ANIME with Michelle from Versatile
ANIME FOR BEGGINNERS with Michelle from VersaTile Studio Space. 🎨Each child will design and paint on a stretched canvas or a canvas tote bag.
🎨Learning basic techniques for creating different exaggerated facial features to convey a variety of character traits and emotions.To simplify this step-by-step lesson students will learn how to break down each feature into basic shapes.
Goal Setting
This is a great workshop that teaches your child why they should learn goal setting from a young age! Facilitated by Counsellor Nicole Neave.

THURSDAY 24TH APRIL:
Creative Creatures
Winners of last year's Fringe festival bring their Creative Creatures UV Playshop to enhance children's creative expression, self-confidence and imagination. The children will explore creative play through UV painting and UV clay sculpting, creating their own creatures!!
Sibling Rivalry
Sibling rivalry has been identified to be more common among children who are the same gender and close together in age-however every family will deal with this at some stage. Counsellor Nicole Neave will discuss the reason behind this with the children and give them some tools to better deal with it.
Postcards from the Edge
Creative storytelling-this is a great workshop where the children join our virtual log around the fire to share their original folk tales. This workshop teaches the kids some creative writing secrets!
