MAYHEM & MADNESS: 3 one-act plays

About
At Bittersweet Productions we curate and perform rarely seen one-act plays by famous and forgotten authors. Up next we present two comedies and a drama. Each play explores the mayhem and madness of living in a world that is out of kilter. The Pot Boiler by Alice Gerstenberg is a satiric take on the construct of producing a play – with farcical and physical comedy a plenty. Director: Sarah Carradine
The Jewish Wife by Bertolt Brecht is a 10-minute sketch where we feel the full weight of history and its madness and glimpse the scale of the disruption that dictatorship may produce in a simple domestic world. Director: John Grinston
Gosforth’s Fete by Alan Ayckbourn is a riotous exploration of small-town life. No matter what are peoples’ best intentions, everything goes stupendously wrong, and the comic gods are unleashed. Director: Christine Firkin.
Three plays in one visit to the glorious art deco Independent Theatre in North Sydney.
