The Computational and Algorithmic Thinking or CAT competition incorporates unique three-stage tasks that encourage students to develop informal algorithms and apply them to test data of increasing size or complexity. 

CAT aims to identify coding potential and is open to students in years 5 to 12. Held in term 2, the CAT has four divisions: Upper Primary, Junior, Intermediate and Senior. It is available in both online and paper format. 

工作室一直在推荐的计算和算法竞赛，每年1月份和4月份的假期都会开设CAT假期班。算法是编程的数学思维基础，非常适合4-6年级同学锻炼严谨清晰的分析和推理过程。一部分喜欢编程、有一定编程语言基础的学生，在CAT比赛中取得较好成绩后，可以参加AIO，也就是澳大利亚信息奥赛（IOI）集训营的普选赛。
