After multiple sold out runs and award-winning performances, Enchanted Encounters brings you an exciting new production - ‘Songs of Van Gogh’.This performance features the music of an undiscovered modern gem – “Dear Theo” by American composer Ben Moore, with texts derived from the original letters that Vincent Van Gogh wrote to his younger brother, Theo.
This highly emotional cycle offers you an unadulterated glimpse into 10 years of Vincent’s life, as he details his flying hopes and aspirations, whilst battling with his failing mental health.
The cycle will be paired with a fine selection of music by Van Gogh’s musical contemporaries, including Claude Debussy, Eric Satie, and Reynaldo Hahn.
Featuring a talented ensemble of performers, in the highly intimate Gallows Art Gallery, this is a show not to be missed.
