Introduction to plant dyeing
About
The course is a basic course and perfect for those who have not colored before. We start from the very beginning, and go through the most basic things within plant dyeing. Experienced people can of course easily join.You will get an introduction to plant dyeing. We will talk about good dye plants, fibers, preparation for plant dyeing, the dyeing itself & the finishing. We will work with 3 yarn bases.
We dye in two dye baths - birch (which gives green/yellow) and cochineal (which gives red/pink).
After you purchase your workshop spot, we will send you information for more class details and a list of things you will need to bring with you.
o You have to be at least 18 years old to attend this workshop.
o We have a 15-day cancellation policy. Your payment will not be refunded unless you cancel at least 15 days before the workshop start time.
o We reserve the right to cancel classes due to low enrollment. Should this occur, all class fees will be refunded.
