The Vacant Chair Ceremony, a masonic tradition in Australia, is a solemn remembrance of fallen service personnel, usually held in the weeks before Anzac Day or Remembrance Day, involving carrying an empty chair draped with the Australian flag through the lodge.The ceremony is a way to honor and remember Australian and Commonwealth service personnel who have served, particularly those who have died in service.
It's a long-standing Masonic tradition, with roots dating back to the aftermath of the American Civil War, when it was used to pay tribute to those who did not return.
Bookings close on 1st April at 11pm.
