The King Kats are on a mission to make you boogie. Hailing from the Yarra Valley in Victoria, this five-piece will lead you to the dancefloor for a jive through a grand tour of jump blues, southern rock and good-time rhythm ‘n blues and rock n roll.A family affair, the band features singing brothers Ash and Ben King out front on guitar and bass, while their old man, Andy, with *cough* several years of experience, rocks the 88 keys, and long-distance distance cousins Danny and Jase complete the line up on drums and sax.
The King Kats’ ability to meld vintage boogie piano and wailing jump sax with the spirit of 50s/60s/70s rock has captured the attention of the blues and rock ‘n roll faithful around Australia.
This is blues that makes you want to swing. It’s as cool as the cold one you’ll be enjoying at the bar.
