Step up to the challenge with SWE SoundStage. High school musicians are invited to join WAAPA's renowned Symphonic Wind Ensemble (SWE) for a day of high-energy rehearsals and inspiring performances. SWE SoundStage offers passionate young musicians a chance to perform alongside current WAAPA students, with expert coaching from WAAPA’s acclaimed wind, brass and percussion staff. You’ll refine essential ensemble skills, elevate your musicianship, and experience the thrill of making music in a university-level setting, gaining insight into what it takes to perform with a top-tier wind ensemble. The day concludes with a performance for family and friends at 4:30pm.Age Group: Recommended for high school aged, music instrumentalists in Year 9-12
